Building on a decades-long tradition as a leading center for the study of neuroscience, the Iowa Neuroscience Institute provides an intellectual environment that offers opportunities for interdisciplinary and interdepartmental collaboration for the neuroscience community, which includes more than 140 faculty members representing 30 departments in 7 colleges across the university. The Institute creates synergy within the broad neuroscience community leading to transformative research while also fostering an intellectually stimulating environment that supports innovation in basic science and opportunities for translational application.
